Pakistan's Ambassador at the United Nations Maleeha Lodhi says Pakistan has launched innovative schemes and pilot projects for girls education.

She was speaking at an event in the UN on Catalytic Partnerships for Gender Equality in Education, organized by UNESCO .

Maleeha Lodhi referred to the education voucher scheme in Punjab and conditional grants in education in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, saying they are working well.

She said, under Benazir Income Support Programme, conditional cash grants are being given to those mothers who ensure enrolment of their daughters in schools.
