Rs 3.5b allocated for welfare of special persons in budget
Minister says free books, lunch and uniform are being provided to disabled students.
The Punjab Government has allocated three point five billion rupees for the welfare of special persons in the new budget.
This was stated by Punjab Minister Asif Saeed Manais in Lahore.
He said at present 250 special institutions are working for rehabilitation of special persons all over the province where 29,000 special students are studying.
The Minister said free books, lunch and uniform are being provided to the disabled students and helping gadgets are also issued to them.
He said the provincial government will also provide seven point eight hundred million rupees for the development and non-development expenditure of the Punjab Special Education Department.
