Turkey's Prime Minister Binali Yildirim has said he plans to   extend emergency rule imposed in the country after an attempted coup on July 15 last year by another three months.

He made these comments at a briefing to media representatives in the capital Ankara ahead of official commemorations of the coup anniversary to be observed on Saturday.

Meanwhile, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has announced holding democracy watch rallies in the entire country which will begin from tomorrow and end on Sunday midnight to mark the anniversary.
