Prime Minister has reiterated that he would not resign at the demand of defeated elements.Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has said in unequivocal terms that he will not resign on the demand of defeated elements.He was addressing PML-N parliamentary party meeting as president of the party in Islamabad.The Prime Minister regretted that some elements fanning political instability and uncertainty are harming the country.He said the controversial JIT report on Panama Papers case is merely a pack of baseless allegations by opponents.
Meanwhile,Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb has expressed concerns over the reports that JIT is still active, despite submitting its final report in the Supreme Court.In a statement, she said the JIT should have formally seek permission from the Supreme Court for extension if it could not complete its work.The Minister of State said that the government will not accept any addition to the volume 10 of the JIT report after Monday last, which was the final date for JIT to complete its task.

The 70th Independence Day of Pakistan celebrations have started with the launch of official logo at an impressive ceremony in Islamabad .Addressing the ceremony, Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb said the theme of celebrations is promotion of cultural diversity of Pakistan. She said the celebrations will continue till the end of this year and promote culture of all the provinces, Azad Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan.Marriyum Aurangzeb said during the celebrations, Radio Pakistan, PTV and all other departments of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting will arrange and broadcast special programmes depicting the culture of Pakistan.

Government set up a cell to obtain advance information from India on rains and floods situation.
A cell has been established at the office of Pakistan Commissioner for Indus Waters to obtain advance information from India on rains and floods and pass it on to all concerned.Pakistan Commissioner for Indus Waters Mirza Asif Baig says his Indian counterpart has agreed to provide the advance flood information in monsoon in line with arrangements made last year. As per agreement with the Indian Commissioner, the information regarding the flood flows will also be broadcast by Jammu Radio Stations at 0900 hours, 1430 hours and 2240 hours Pakistan Standard Time.
In Egypt, gunmen killed five policemen in Giza province
In Egypt, five policemen were killed when armed assailants opened fire on a car near a security checkpoint in al-Badrasheen area of Giza province.According to Egyptian Interior Ministry, the attackers who were on motorcycle, managed to flee.No group has claimed responsibility for the attack yet.
