Prime Minister has reiterated that he would not resign at the demand of defeated elements.Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has said in unequivocal terms that he will not resign on the demand of defeated elements.He was addressing PML-N parliamentary party meeting as president of the party in Islamabad.The Prime Minister regretted that some elements fanning political instability and uncertainty are harming the country.He said the controversial JIT report on Panama Papers case is merely a pack of baseless allegations by opponents.
Meanwhile,Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb has expressed concerns over the reports that JIT is still active, despite submitting its final report in the Supreme Court.In a statement, she said the JIT should have formally seek permission from the Supreme Court for extension if it could not complete its work.The Minister of State said that the government will not accept any addition to the volume 10 of the JIT report after Monday last, which was the final date for JIT to complete its task.

Army Chief vows to make every effort to bring Balochistan at par with other provinces in the realm of development and prosperity.

General Qamar Javed Bajwa addressing a briefing in Quetta ,he especially hailed efforts of the Pakistan Army in socio-economic domain and considerable willing surrender of fararies.
General Bajwa appreciated achievements of Army, FC, Police, Intelligence and other agencies including provincial administrations towards improvement of security situation in Balochistan.He was apprised that there has been phenomenal reduction in sectarian targeting while terrorists in desperation are now targeting Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) and soft targets.Later, he interacted with officers and soldiers and appreciated their morale and motivation.

70th Independence anniversary celebrations of Pakistan began with the launch of official logo- Pakistanis support democratic process in the country in accordance with the vision of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah

The 70th Independence Day of Pakistan celebrations have started with the launch of official logo at an impressive ceremony in Islamabad .Addressing the ceremony, Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb said the theme of celebrations is promotion of cultural diversity of Pakistan. She said the celebrations will continue till the end of this year and promote culture of all the provinces, Azad Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan.Marriyum Aurangzeb said during the celebrations, Radio Pakistan, PTV and all other departments of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting will arrange and broadcast special programmes depicting the culture of Pakistan.

In an interview , he said billions of dollars investment is coming to Pakistan through CPEC projects.The Minister said no corruption charges or irregularities have been found in any tenure of Nawaz Sharif.To a question, he said the Prime Minister enjoys support of majority of voters of all the provinces as well as Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Jammu and Kashmir and FATA.  

Finance Minister says government attachs high priority to provision of resources to the armed forces for the defence and security of the country and the nation.

He said this while chairing a meeting to review matters related to financial requirements of Pakistan Air Force in Islamabad.The Minister praised PAF’s instrumental role in the ongoing operations Zarb-e-Azb and Raddul Fasad.He said the improved security situation in the country has attracted a number of international companies and investors to explore business opportunities in Pakistan which augurs well for economic well being of the country.Vice Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Asad Lodhi briefed the Finance Minister on the financial aspects of PAF's on-going and future projects.

Government set up a cell to obtain advance information from India on rains and floods situation.

A cell has been established at the office of Pakistan Commissioner for Indus Waters to obtain advance information from India on rains and floods and pass it on to all concerned.Pakistan Commissioner for Indus Waters Mirza Asif Baig says his Indian counterpart has agreed to provide the advance flood information in monsoon in line with arrangements made last year. As per agreement with the Indian Commissioner, the information regarding the flood flows will also be broadcast by Jammu Radio Stations at 0900 hours, 1430 hours and 2240 hours Pakistan Standard Time.

In Egypt, gunmen killed five policemen in Giza province

In Egypt, five policemen were killed when armed assailants opened fire on a car near a security checkpoint in al-Badrasheen area of Giza province.According to Egyptian Interior Ministry, the attackers who were on motorcycle, managed to flee.No group has claimed responsibility for the attack yet.
