President reiterates Pakistan's desire to promote friendly ties with neighbors
Envoys designate of a number of countries meet Mamnoon Hussain in Islamabad,
President Mamnoon Hussain has urged foreign investors to avail great investment opportunities in Pakistan.
He was talking to the envoys designate of a number of countries in Islamabad today.
The President said Pakistan is desirous of further promoting friendly and brotherly relations with all countries, particularly with its neighbours for peace, stability and prosperity in the region.
The envoys who presented their credentials included Bangladesh High Commissioner Tarik Ahsan, Ambassador of Azerbaijan Ali Fikrat Oglu Alizada, Ambassador of Republic of Korea Suh Dong-gu, Ambassador of Somalia Mrs. Khadija Mohamed Al-Makhsumi, Ambassador of Sudan Tageldin Elhadi Eltahir and Ambassador of Sweden Ms. Ingrid Johansson.
Talking to Governor Punjab Muhammad Rafique Rajwana in Islamabad on Thursday, the President underlined that steps should be taken to ensure welfare of people by improving their standard of life.
The President said maximum relief should be provided to the people and quality educational and healthcare services be made available to them.
The governor apprised the President of the developmental activities being undertaken in the province with specific reference to the ongoing projects in the southern Punjab.
