Political stability vital for country’s progress: Ahsan
Says elements trying to create uncertainty by disseminating rumors about future of govt should be given shut up call.
Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal says the only pre-requisite to development is political stability and continuity of policies, which is possible only through democratic system.
Addressing the annual meeting of Pakistan Engineering Council in Islamabad on Thursday, has said the elements trying to create uncertainty by disseminating rumors about future of the government should be given shut up call.
Ahsan Iqbal asked the opposition parties to work diligently in their respective provinces instead of creating uncertainty about the country's stability.
The minister said when the PML-N government took over the charge in 2013, challenges of energy and extremism were on their extreme. But, due to prudent policies of the government, the country has now come out of those crises.
The Minister said the 46 billion dollars China-Pakistan Economic Corridor is a gift for the nation, which will change the country's fate.
