Faisalabad Wolves and Abbottabad Falcons qualified for the semi-finals of the Faysal Bank T-20 Cup beating Larkana Bulls and Karachi Zebras at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadum Friday.

In the first match‚ batting first‚ Faisalabad Wolves could not come true to its name and scored only 121 runs in 20 overs. Khurram Shahzad with 38 was the mainstay of the team. Captain Misbahul Haq was run out at 16.

Keeping in view the past victory of Larkana Bulls against strong Karachi Dolphins in a league match‚ the target did not look difficult for them. However‚ Larkana Bulls were all out for paltry 88 runs because of superb bowling by world top bowler Saeed Ajmal. He grabbed four wickets for 14.

The second match between Karachi Zebras and Abbottabad Falcons also proved to be a low-scoring contest. Batting first after winning the toss‚ Zebras could score 129 for 6 in stipulated overs. Hassan Raza 47 and Faisal Iqbal 43 were the main scorers. Junaid Khan grabbed three wickets for 17.

Falcons had to work hard to achieve the target. They lost six wickets while reaching the target in 19.1 overs thanks to 55 not out by captain Younas Khan.

Islamabad Leopards and Lahore Lions are the two other teams qualifying for the semis‚ which will be played on Saturday.
