Steps afoot to improve agricultural sector in Balochistan: Babet
Says 200 to 250 million rupees will be allocated for cultivation of sparsely needed water plants.
Adviser to CM Balochistan on Forests, Livestock Ubaidullah Jan Babet has said steps are afoot to improve the agricultural sector in the province.
Addressing a function held under the aegis of Agriculture department in Loralai, he said 200 to 250 million rupees will be allocated for the cultivation of sparsely needed water plants like olive, fig etc during the next year budget.
He said under the Prime Minister's Kissan package farmers will be given five thousand rupees each for their loss or decrease in per acre productivity of cotton and rice crops.
He said a modern agricultural university costing four billion and five hundred million rupees will be built in Quetta this year.
