Punjab govt to set up Drug Regulatory Authority

Punjab government has accorded approval to set up Drug Regulatory Authority in the province.
The approval was made at a meeting presided over by Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif in Lahore.
The meeting reviewed steps taken for public health reforms programme especially elimination of spurious and substandard medicines.
Addressing the meeting, Chief Minister said zero tolerance policy will be adopted against the persons involved in manufacturing and sale of spurious medicines.
