Pakistan’s defence impregnable- Successful test of enhanced version of Babur Cruise Missile

Babur Weapon System version - 2 incorporates advanced aerodynamics and avionics that can strike targets both at land and sea with high accuracy, at a range of 700 kilometers. It is a low flying, terrain hugging missile, which carries certain stealth features and is capable of carrying various types of warheads. Babur Weapon System is an important force multiplier for Pakistan’s strategic defence. Launch was witnessed by Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Zubair Mahmood Hayat, senior officers from Strategic Plans Division, Strategic Forces, scientists and engineers of strategic organizations. Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee congratulated the scientists and engineers on achieving yet another milestone of great value and significance. He appreciated the technical prowess, dedication and commitment of scientists who contributed to the success of this launch.

Journey towards peace- All out efforts being made to consolidate gains made so far during operation

General Qamar Javed Bajwa, COAS today visited Corps Headquarters and Rangers HQ Karachi. COAS was given detailed briefing about operational preparedness of the formation and security situation in Sindh particularly City of Karachi. Overall accomplishments of the op so far and way forward remained the focus of briefing. COAS commended Army, Rangers, Law Enforcement Agencies and Intelligence Agencies for noticeable improvement in the law and order situation. He said that Karachi is economic hub of the country and security in the metropolitan has direct bearing on overall business climate and economic activity of the entire country.

PIA plane crash-34 dead bodies of PK-661 identified

Minister of State for Capital Administration and Development Division Tariq Fazal Chaudhry has said that thirty four dead bodies of PK-661 have been identified so far. Talking to media in Islamabad on Wednesday, he said that government will provide all assistance to relatives of victims of the plane crashed.Funeral prayers for former singer turned Islamic preacher Junaid Jamshed was offered at Noor Khan Airbase, Chaklala. Air Chief Sohail Aman and top officers of the Pakistan Air Force attended the funeral prayers.

29 Taliban killed in Afghanistan military operations 

In Afghanistan, 29 Taliban including eight Islamic State militants have been killed during military operations by Afghan troops throughout the country. According to Ministry of National Defense, the operations were conducted to annihilate armed oppositions and ensure peace and stability in relevant areas of Nangarhar, Paktika Ghazni, Logar, Kandahar, Zabul, Herat, Faryab, Kunduz, and Helmand.
