54000 children removed from brick kilns & enrolled in schools: Shahbaz
Joanna Reid says DFID is collaborating with Punjab govt in sectors of Education, Health, solid waste management and clean drinking water.
Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that fifty four thousand children have been removed from brick kilns and enrolled in the schools.
He said this in a meeting with the Head of Department for International Development to Pakistan Joanna Reid in Lahore on Wednesday.
Chief Minister has said that government has taken effective measures for the implementation of education program and quality health care.
He said that Punjab government is providing free uniforms, books and monthly stipend to the brick kilns children for the provision of education.
Speaking on the occasion the Head of DFID to Pakistan said that DFID is collaborating with Punjab government in the sectors of Education, Health, solid waste management and clean drinking water.
