NAB committed to eradicating corruption: Chairman
Qamar Zaman Chaudhry says NAB has prosecuted corrupt and has recovered over four billion rupees of looted public money in one year.
Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Qamar Zaman Chaudhry has said NAB is committed to eradicate corruption and corrupt practices from the country.
Speaking as chief guest at a ceremony in Lahore, he said NAB has prosecuted the corrupt and has recovered over four billion rupees of looted public money in one year. He said it has brought the total recovery to date to 261 billion rupees.
Qamar Zaman Chaudhry said Character Building Societies (CBS) are being set up in educational institutions across the country to build an effective edifice against corruption.
He said it is encouraging for NAB that for the first time Anti-Corruption has been made a part of development agenda in Pakistan in the context of Governance.
At the end, the NAB Chairman distributed certificates amongst successful participants of speech contest on “Say No to Corruption”.
