Pak boxers to participate in Asian C’ship
Pakistan team will be announced on April 20 for participation in Asian Boxing Championship scheduled to be held in Uzbekistan. Talking to APP, Pakistan Boxing Federation (PBF), General Secretary, Lt. Col. Muhammad Nasir Ijaz Tells the Asian Boxing Championship would be held from April 30 to May 7 in Tashkent. A training camp comprising 42 boxers is in progress in Karachi and Islamabad in preparation for the championship
Gayle, Pietersen among marquee players for South Africa’s new T20 league
Chris Gayle and Kevin Pietersen are among several big names to have signed up for the new T20 Destination League in South Africa which is set to take place later this year. Apart from Gayle and Pietersen, Cricket South Africa have also signed up Dwayne Bravo, Kieron Pollard, Brendon McCullum, Lasith Malinga, Eoin Morgan and Jason Roy) as the marquee international stars for the tournament for the first two years. All these players will enter a mini-draft and the franchise owner with the highest bid will get to make the first pick.
Afghanistan's Mohammad Shahzad fails doping test
The International Cricket Council (ICC) provisionally suspends Afghanistan wicketkeeper Mohammad Shahzad after testing positive for a banned substance
The 29-year-old underwent an out-of-competition test in Dubai in January and the sample was tested at the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) accredited laboratory in Salt Lake City. The ‘A’ sample tested positive for clenbuterol, a banned anabolic agent, the ICC said in a statement
Dhoni no more good T20 player: Ganguly

Marc Bartra says he experiences the "hardest 15 minutes" of his life when Borussia Dortmund's team bus was damaged by explosions in Germany. The defender had an operation after fracturing his wrist in the incident. It led to Tuesday's Champions League quarter-final first leg against Monaco being postponed and played a day later. Three explosive devices containing metal pieces went off when Dortmund were on their way to the game at their Signal Iduna Park home ground.
