Speaking a launching ceremony of Urdu edition of book "The Governance of China" by Chinese President Xi Jinping Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif says there is historic opportunity for countries of the region to address apprehensions of neighbours, practice non-interference, build confidence and use all instruments of diplomacy to resolve conflicts peacefully. In this regard multilateral institutions especially the United Nations need to play a more proactive role to eliminate poverty and empower people. Pakistan and China enjoy special and strategic partnership.

According to ISPR, At least ten terrorists have been killed in an armed encounter with the security personnel in Basti Dadwani near Choti Zeerin in Dera Ghazi Khan.
Three Rangers soldiers have also embraced shahadat and two soldiers were also got injured in the incident. During the search operation, terrorists opened fire at the law-enforcers who retaliated killing ten of the attackers.
Weapons in huge quantity have also been recovered from them.

Pakistan Wants To Strengthen Relations with Vietnam: Murtaza
Talking to Ambassador of Vietnam Nguyen Xuan Luu, Deputy Speaker National Assembly Murtaza Javed Abbasi says Pakistan wants to further strengthen relations with Vietnam through enhanced parliamentary, economic and people to people contacts. He stressed upon regular interaction between the Parliamentarians of both the countries. Nguyen Xuan Luu says Vietnam wants to see a strong and prosperous Pakistan. He agreed that exchange of parliamentary delegations will help enhance better understanding between both the countries.
Govt Adopts National Strategy to Strengthen Early Disaster Warning System, Senate Told
Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Shaikh Aftab Ahmad informs the Senate that the government adopts a national strategy towards strengthening of disaster early warning systems. The approach includes expansion of telemetric network and monitoring as well as database for timely floods broadcasts. A PC-I worth 19081 million rupees has been sent to planning commission for approval to strengthen the forecasting capabilities of Pakistan Meteorological Department. The Minister for Parliamentary Affairs told the House that Japanese government has approved a grant to provide CCTV with face recognition system for four airports.
Donald Trump 'very proud' after dropping 'Mother of All Bombs' on Afghanistan
In Afghanistan, thirty six Islamic State militants have been killed in Nangrahar province in a massive bomb strike of the US military. Mother of all bombs’ kills 36 IS fighters in Afghanistan. Afghan Defense Ministry said the bomb struck a village in the Momand valley where IS fighters were using a network of caves. Chief Executive of Afghanistan Abdullah Abdullah confirmed that the attack had been carried out in co-ordination with Afghan government.
Lavrov says Russia; US agree strikes on Syria should not be repeated
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov says there is a shared understanding between his country and the United States that U.S. air strikes on Syria should not be repeated. He said this while talking to his Syrian counterpart Walid al-Moualem in Moscow. But in Washington, the U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson did not eliminate the possibility the United States may undertake future strikes.
