Five major nuclear powers meet in Beijing
China says it is pursuing a nuclear strategy of self-defense and is committed to nuclear non-proliferation.
A meeting of five major nuclear powers was held in Beijing on Monday to enhance global nuclear governance.
In his opening remarks, Chinese vice Foreign Minister Li Baodong said Beijing has pursued a nuclear strategy of self-defense, non-proliferation, international cooperation in use of nuclear technology to promote global nuclear governance.
Representatives of China, the United States, Russia, Britain and France attended the meeting.
