Finance Minister Ishaq Dar says macro-economic stability has earned the country huge confidence of international investors and financial institutions.

Talking to media in Washington, he said major financial institutions now agree with Islamabad that Pakistan's GDP growth would surpass their earlier projections.

Ishaq Dar said now the country is able to have access to $ one billion for the current year under its International Development Association. The World Bank is likely to approve the funds at its meeting next month.

The World Bank is also likely to approve $ 700 million for Dasu and Sindh irrigation water projects next month.
