Planning Commission Deputy Chairman Sartaj Aziz says energy cooperation and connectivity among ECO countries is indispensable to achieve the goal of sustainable development.

Addressing a news conference in Islamabad this evening (Thursday), he evinced his desire to redouble trade between the ECO countries.

He said preparations have also been made for ECO regional energy market.

Sartaj Aziz said, during the recent ECO meeting, different topics were discussed with particular reference to peace and security within region.

He said meeting of ECO was held in a cordial environment.
