About 97 percent of TDPs returned to their native land: Jhagra

Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Iqbal Zafar Jhagra says about ninety-seven percent of Temporary Displaced Persons (TDPs) have returned to their native land and the remaining will be repatriated soon.

Talking to a representative delegation of United Nations in Peshawar today, he said various development projects have been started for reconstruction and rehabilitation of tribal people.

The governor said solarization project has been initiated in FATA to overcome energy problems in tribal areas.

He said technical training has also been provided to tribal youth to help them earn a respectable livelihood.

Iqbal Zafar Jhagra appreciated the role of the United Nations in assisting displaced people of FATA, and urged international community to come forward for further support of tribal people.
