Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar says government is taking every possible step to bring down food prices.
Chairing a meeting in Islamabad today (Friday), he directed to strengthen the monitoring system of 18 essential commodities including wheat, sugar, flour, edible ghee and oil, potatoes, onions and pulses in the country.
The Minister said in the next cabinet meeting, the Prime Minister will be given further recommendations to reduce the prices of commodities.
