DAY 4: West Indies to resume 1st innings at overnight score of 218/5

On the fourth day of third and final cricket Test against Pakistan in Dominica, West Indies will resume their first innings at overnight score of 218 for 5 on Saturday.Pakistan scored 376 in its first innings.Azhar Ali with 127, Misbah ul Haq 59, Babar Azam 55 and Sarfraz Ahmed with 51 runs were the main scorers.For Pakistan, Yasir Shah took three wickets whereas Mohammad Abbas and Azhar Ali grabbed one wicket each. 

PCB chief clarifies India series statement 

Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Shaharyar Khan has clarified that his recent statement on agreeing to play series in India was related to the contract signed between the PCB and the BCCI in 2014, according to which six bilateral series had been agreed over an eight-year period.Pakistan had agreed to host four series in Pakistan or any third country like the UAE or Sri Lanka with mutual consent while India was to host two series in India.The BCCI has failed to fulfill this contract as a result of which the PCB has sent a legal notice to the BCCI.

Shahzad allowed to return home 

The Pakistan Cricket Board on the request forwarded by the team management has allowed opener Ahmed Shehzad to return home from the ongoing tour of West Indies where Pakistan are playing the last Test against the home team.Ahmed Shehzad had made a request to the team management to return home from the ongoing tour due to his mother’s illness and birth of his first child.The opening batsman will now join the team in England for the ICC Champions Trophy.

4th Islamic solidarity games kick-off in Baku 

The 2017 Islamic Solidarity Games were officially opened by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev during a spectacular ceremony in the Baku Olympic Stadium on Friday night.Pyrotechnics, dancers, musicians and even 40 horses, camels and donkeys featured as the fourth edition of the Solidarity Games made its bow in fine style.The show unsurprisingly followed a theme of togetherness in the Islamic world, as the 40-day long 'journey from the Caspian' came to its conclusion.

Pak hockey team to play three-match series with Ireland 

Pakistan Hockey Team would be playing a three-match series with Ireland next month prior to the World Hockey League (WHL).Talking to APP, Secretary of Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) Shahbaz Ahmad said the federation wants to give players maximum international exposure prior to the WHL scheduled to be held in England next month.Pakistan would play three matches against Ireland on June 1, 2 and 4 in Belfast.Pakistan team will depart to London on May 27 then from there the team would travel to Belfast on May 28 to play three-match series.

European Challenge Cup final: Gloucester 17-25 Stade Francais 

Top 14 side Stade Francais came from 10-0 down to beat Gloucester and win the European Challenge Cup.England wing Jonny May's try put Gloucester, who needed to win to keep their Champions Cup qualification hopes alive, ahead at a rainy Murrayfield.Italy captain Sergio Parisse then crossed to make it 10-10 at the break.Jonathan Darby and Geoffrey Doumayrou touched down as the French team dominated after half-time, before Ross Moriarty scored a late consolation.
