Caretaker Chief Minister Sher Jehan Mir said that Gilgit-Baltistan Police had played an exemplary role in the rescue of dignitaries from Helicopter crashed at Naltar in Gilgit.

Addressing to 36th batch recruits passing out ceremony held in Gilgit on Wednesday, he said Gilgit-Baltistan police is working with zeal for durable peace and their services in this regard are highly valuable.

Expressing his satisfaction over the performance of Gilgit-Baltistan police, he assured to release notification for up-gradation of police training college and also promised to release five million rupees in the next budget.

Radio Pakistan correspondent reports that one hundred and twenty recruits took part in the parade.
