Punjab govt initiates Rs15b mega scheme to improve cleanliness, sanitation: Shahbaz
CM Punjab says villages to look neat and clean after implementation of this programme.
Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif says the provincial government has initiated 15 billion rupee-mega scheme to improve cleanliness and sanitation in rural areas.
Addressing a meeting in Lahore on Tuesday, he said this scheme has been started for the first time in the country. He said that villages will look neat and clean after the implementation of this programme.
Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif says provision of clean drinking water to citizens will be executed soon in southern Punjab.
He was chairing a meeting in Lahore on Tuesday, to review various aspects of clean drinking water program.
He said twenty five billion rupees have been allocated for te supply of clean drinking water project.
The Chief Minister said execution of the project will help prevent spreading of epidemics and water borne diseases .
