Khawaja Asif says the government is close to achieve the target of load shedding-free Pakistan
No un-scheduled load shedding is being carried out in the country.
In a statement, Minister for Water and Power says this cherished goal is going to be achieved as a result of the measures taken during the last four years. The average electricity generation has now increased to 18,052 megawatt, which was 11,804 megawatt in 2013.

Infrastructure projects under CPEC will open new avenues for development: Planning Minister
Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal says completion of infrastructure projects under China-Pakistan Economic Corridor will open new avenues for development in Pakistan as well as the whole region. He was chairing a meeting in Islamabad, to review progress on the projects being completed under China-Pakistan Economic Corridor. Expressing satisfaction over the CPEC projects, the Minister said several projects are expected to be completed this year.

Pakistan and China reiterated their resolve to further enhance bilateral defence cooperation. This was stated by Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lu Kang during regular press briefing in Beijing. The spokesperson said President Xi Jinping and Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif held friendly and productive talks on the sidelines of recent Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit in Kazakhistan.
