Ill-treatment meted out to Aasiya, Fehmeeda in jail flayed
DeM General Secretary says Aasiya Andrabi, Fehmeeda Sofi are political prisoners and not criminals.
In occupied Kashmir, Dukhtaran-e-Millat has deplored the ill-treatment meted out to its illegally detained Chairperson, Aasiya Andrabi and her associate, Fahmeeda Sofi inside the Amphala jail in Jammu.
In a statement issued in Srinagar the DeM General Secretary, Nahida Nasreen said that Aasiya Andrabi and Fehmeeda Sofi are political prisoners and not criminals.
She said that the jail authorities on the directions of the puppet Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti, were not allowing the family members to meet them.
She said that people particularly families of the two detained leaders are concerned over not shifting of Asia Andrabi and Fahmeeda Sofi to Srinagar from Jammu despite court orders.
Nahida Nasreen reiterated her appeal to the world human rights organisations to take strong notice of the continued detention of Aasiya Andrabi and Fehmeeda Sofi and play role in their release.
