Gilani demands release of all illegally-detained Hurriyet leaders, activists
In Occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC), Syed Ali Gilani has demanded release of all illegally-detained Hurriyet leaders and activists.
In his statement, Syed Ali Gilani called for observing the coming Friday as day of solidarity with illegally detained Kashmiris.
He maintained that the continued detention of Masarrat Aalam Butt and other Hurriyet leaders was indicative of the fact that local administration was just a puppet and all decisions were made by the Home Ministry of India.
Meanwhile, talking to a Sikh delegation from Punjab and Kashmir, APHC Secretary General, Shabbir Ahmad Shah said that the Kashmiris' liberation struggle was not specific for any particular community, but it was meant for securing the right to self-determination of all communities in Jammu and Kashmir.
Talking to a delegation of Pandits at his residence in Srinagar, Chairman of Hurriyet Forum, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq said that the Pandits were part of the Kashmir society and the people were in favor of dignified return to their houses.
