The United States has said it has been "extremely concerned" over violence along Pakistan-India working boundary and the Line of Control in Kashmir.
A senior State Department official told reporters that Washington urges both the sides to resume dialogue to resolve tensions for peace in the region.
He recognized that Pakistan's ongoing military operations in North Waziristan have significantly disrupted militant activities and resulted in important seizures of weapons and IED materials.
