Pakistan Railways announces up to 5% reduction in fares
Pakistan Railways says project to manufacture new locomotives worth 2.23 billion rupees will be completed by March this year.
Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique says five new locomotives are being built in collaboration with China at Carriage Factory Risalpur.
He was speaking after inaugurating a locomotive manufactured with cooperation of China in Islamabad on Tuesday.
He said the project to manufacture new locomotives worth 2.23 billion rupees will be completed by March this year.
Meanwhile, Pakistan Railways has announced a reduction of up to five percent in its trains’ fares.
According to a spokesman in Lahore on Tuesday, the passengers will get benefit of one hundred thirty rupees from this reduction.
