The Governor of the Punjab Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar has said that Islam is the religion of peace, harmony and tolerance which teaches to serve another by love.

He stated this while addressing a book launching ceremony of the book ‘Naqsh-e-Qalam’ penned by a renowned author Naseem Siddiqui at the Governor House in Lahore this afternoon.

He said that a book is the best gift which instills good manners and culture to the reader.

He expressed regret that the trend of book reading is diminishing day by day and stressed upon the youth to become fond of reading good books.

Paying rich tribute to the martyrs of the Peshawar School Carnage, he said that it was an attack on the honour, prestige and dignity of the country and such a horrible gory incident has no precedence in the entire human history.

The governor extended felicitation to the author for writing such a beautiful book.
