Electricity transmission being improved: PM
Prime Minister says the govt is committed to ending load-shedding within its tenure.
Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has said electricity transmission system is being improved to reduce line losses.
Talking to newsmen in Peshawar, he said immediate steps are also needed to be taken to control power theft.
He emphasized the need for checking corrupt practices within the departments and electricity users.
Nawaz Sharif said uninterrupted supply of electricity to the people is his commitment which will be fulfilled during the tenure of the present government.
The Prime Minister said the government despite financial constraints is pursuing a policy of providing relief to the people to ensure their welfare.
The prime minister said petroleum prices would be further reduced next month. He said a number of projects would be launched for development in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for a real ‘Naya Pakistan’.
He said reduction in electricity prices would provide more relief to domestic users, farmers and industrialists.
