100s arrested ahead of 3rd phase of sham polls in Occupied Kashmir
Hurriyet leaders appealed to the people of Srinagar, Islamabad, Shopian to observe complete shutdown tomorrow.
In occupied Kashmir , Indian police have arrested over three hundred people in Srinagar, Islamabad and Shopian districts ahead of the third phase of the so-called Assembly elections to be held in these districts tomorrow [Sunday, December 14].
Hundreds of people including Hurriyet leaders, Shabbir Ahmed Shah, Muhammad Yasin Malik, Zafar Akbar Butt, Nayeem Ahmed Khan and Muhammad Yousuf Naqash have already been illegally detained in jails and police stations to prevent them from conducting election boycott campaign in the occupied territory.
Meanwhile, Syed Ali Geelani and Mirwaiz Umar Farooq appealed to the people of Srinagar, Islamabad and Shopian to observe complete shutdown on the occasion of the polling for the farcical elections.
