South Korean Prime Minister Chung Hongwon arrived in Islamabad on Sunday afternoon on four-day official visit to Pakistan.

He was received at the airport by Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal. Two children attired in traditional dresses presented a bouquet to the distinguished guest. A smartly turned out contingent of the armed forces presented Guard of Honor to Korean Prime Minister.

The South Korean Prime Minister, on arrival at the airport said he is very pleased to visit Pakistan and expects that bilateral relations between Pakistan and South Korea will further expand with his visit.

Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal said Pakistan gives special importance to its relations with South Korea.

This is the first visit by a South Korean Prime Minister since establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries in 1983.

The visit will give new impetus to existing friendly relations between the two countries.
