A three-day conference on ‘Central Asian Business Opportunities’ begins in Islamabad tomorrow to promote regional trade.

Over 200 public and private sector representatives from Pakistan, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan will have the opportunity to engage in government-to-government, government-to-business and business-to-business networking and information sharing.

One of the objectives of the conference is to collectively identify opportunities to expand regional trade, investment and economic growth.

It will also provide a forum to discuss and address barriers to trade among Pakistan, Afghanistan and Central Asian Republics. The conference will also help in supporting increased coordination between commerce and customs administrations of these countries.
