President Dr Arif Alvi has stressed on the need for improving the existing institutional mechanisms to enhance trade with Bangladesh.

Talking to High Commissioner-designate to Bangladesh Imran Ahmed Siddiqui in Islamabad, he emphasized the importance of high-level interaction with Bangladesh for strong bilateral ties.

The President said Pakistan and Bangladesh are bound by fraternal relations and religious affinity, with a shared history that provides a solid foundation for this relationship.

He urged upon the High Commissioner-designate to Bangladesh for making efforts in holding next SAARC Summit in Islamabad.

Dr Arif Alvi also called upon Pakistan’s envoys to highlight the true perspective of Kashmir issue and serious human rights violations at the hands of Indian forces in Occupied Kashmir.
