Minister for Science and Technology Muhammad Azam Khan Swati says better opportunities and conducive environment for education is a way forward to attain goals of fast paced development. 

Addressing a ceremony in connection with "World Science Day" in Islamabad today, he said through uplifting the science and technology sector, we can project the soft image of Pakistan abroad. 

He said first ever Science Park will be opened in Lahore to promote science and technology in the country.

He said there will be four to five science parks within the period of six months throughout the country.  

He emphasized the need for investment in human resource to reap dividends of progress and prosperity.  

Expressing her views, Country Director UNESCO in Pakistan Vibeke Jensen said science and its application have conditioned all aspects of the life.

She said pursuit of the sustainable development goals also depend on science and technology.
