President Trump lauds Pak Army's operation to rescue the American hostages from Afghan terrorists
President Donald Trump announced that US and Pakistani officials had secured the release of an American woman, her Canadian husband and their three children from Taliban captivity. On Thursday, the Army's media wing confirmed the rescue and recovery of five foreign nationals in an intelligence-based operation. The US leader identified the kidnapped couple as Caitlan Coleman and Joshua Boyle, and said their release was a "positive moment" for US relations with Pakistan.
Meanwhile, DG ISPR Major General Asif Ghafoor has said that there are no safe havens in the country as our armed forces have successfully eliminated their sanctuaries.
Addressing at Karachi University, he said fundamentalism even exist in west and India as it has various forms. DG ISPR said that geographically global economy is linked with Pakistan.
Army Chief says Pakistan has done its best in the war against terrorism despite constraints for the sake its own future.
Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa has reiterated that Pakistan has done its best despite constraints and shall continue its efforts for the sake of the future of Pakistan and in line with aspirations of Pakistani people. He was talking to a US delegation comprising Ms. Lisa Curtis, Ambassador Alice G. Wells, Ambassador David Hale and others representatives in Rawalpindi today. General Bajwa highlighted concerns of Pakistan regarding peace and stability in the region. The delegation briefed General Bajwa on contours of US strategy in South Asia. Views were exchanged on regional security situation including Afghanistan and how Pakistan has positively contributed towards peace and stability in the region. The delegation appreciated and acknowledged Pakistan Army's contributions and Pakistan’s sacrifices in war on terror.

Pakistan and Ukraine have agreed to explore new avenues to enhance bilateral relations especially in the field of defense production. The agreement was reached during a meeting between Minister for Defense Production Rana Tanveer Hussain and Ukraine Defence Minister Stepan Poltorak at Kiev today. Rana Tanveer Hussain said that bilateral ties between the Defense industries of both countries strengthened over a period of twenty years and we want further enhancement in this collaboration.
