IINAs Executive Council and General Assembly meeting to begin in Jeddah

International Islamic News Agency, a specialized media organ of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation is beginning a two-day meeting of its Executive Council and General Assembly in Jeddah on Friday.
It will explore the plan to enhance the Agency’s work and transform it into a union.
Agenda items also include the supportive role of Member States’ news agencies to the cause of Palestine and Al-Quds Al-Sharif, achieving greater joint action among these agencies, and the part IINA training center takes in honing the skills of media professionals from IINA member news agencies.
The participants will also discuss the news agencies’ role in countering terrorist and Islamophobic narrative, and participation in the OIC prize to recognize the work of outstanding media professionals.
