UAE, KSA signal easing tensions with Qatar
The United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia have given signals of easing tensions with Qatar after a week of growing diplomatic row with Doha.
UAE President Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan and Saudi King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Bin Saud directed the officials to show leniency to Qatari-Emirati and Qatari-Saudi families on humanitarian grounds.
Earlier, Kuwait had said that Qatar is ready to listen to the concerns of Gulf Arab states, which have severed diplomatic and economic ties with Doha.
Meanwhile, Qatar says it has started shipping cargo through Oman to bypass Gulf countries which have cut off sea routes with Doha.
