Students hold anti-India protests in Shopian
In Occupied Kashmir, students of Degree College Shopian held forceful protest demonstrations today against the killing of young student Aadil Farooq Magray by Indian troops last week.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Indian police and paramilitary forces resorted to massive force including teargas shelling on the protesting students. Several students were injured during the clashes.
The All Parties Hurriyet Conference Chairman, Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued in Srinagar, today urged international human rights organizations to prevail upon India to release all illegal Kashmiri detainees before Eid.
The Hurriyet forum led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in a statement expressed serious concern over the plight of political prisoners lodged in various jails and demanded their immediate release.
APHC General Secretary Shabbir Ahmad Shah in a statement paid glowing tributes to Mirwaiz Yousuf Shah on his 50th anniversary for his immense religious, social and political contribution.
Meanwhile, Hurriyet leaders of AJK chapter held a protest demonstration in Islamabad and strongly condemned the continued illegal detention and house arrest of APHC leaders.
