Addressing a news conference along with PML-N leader Daniyal Aziz in Islamabad this evening, she said efforts are being made to stage another sit-in, which too will meet the same fate.The Minister said entire nation is behind the Prime Minister. She said the report is based on the probabilities and not on solid facts and investigations. She said the jurisdiction of JIT was to seek answers of thirteen questions given by the Supreme Court. 

Speaking on the occasion, MNA Daniyal Aziz said the opponents should first read the report before demanding resignation of the Prime Minister. He said there are a number of loopholes in the JIT report.He said unverified sources have been used for compilation of the report. Daniyal Aziz said huge funds were allocated for the investigation but the report is still incomplete.

General Qamar Javed Bajwa addressing a function on CPEC Logistics in Rawalpindi said CPEC is also affirmation of Pakistan's efforts for a peaceful and prosperous region. He said unlike some other countries of South Asia, we believe in focusing our energies on peace and inclusiveness, rather than divisive competition. The Army Chief said CPEC will bring increasing economic integration among regional economies and reduce the development gap within various regions of Pakistan.

China expresses willingness to play a constructive role in improving tense relations between Pakistan and India

Addressing a press briefing in Beijing, Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Geng Shuang said ongoing tension along the Line of Control in Kashmir is posing threat to peace and stability of the region.He urged both Islamabad and New Delhi to start a meaningful dialogue for the settlement of their bilateral disputes and promote peace in the region.Replying to a question about current border standoff between China and India in Sikkim, he asked the Indian side to withdraw its troops from the Chinese territory and properly settle this dispute at the earliest

China dispatched military personnel to set up its first-ever overseas base in Djibouti.

Chinese People's Liberation Army Navy Commadner Shen Jinlong said the base will ensure China's performance of missions, such as escorting, peace-keeping and humanitarian aid in Africa and West Asia.He said the base will also perform other functions, including military cooperation, joint exercises, evacuating and protecting overseas Chinese and emergency rescue.

Saudi Arabia and the United States have agreed to make joint efforts to eliminate terrorism.

An understanding to this effect came during US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson's separate meetings with Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Saudi counterpart Adel al-Jubeir in Jeddah.According to Saudi Press Agency, they discussed latest regional developments, global counter-terrorism efforts, and ongoing crisis in the Gulf region.
