Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has expressed the government's resolve to complete all energy related projects by 2017.

He was speaking at a meeting of special committee constituted for resolution of energy crisis in Islamabad today (Saturday).  

He said electricity generation from hydel sources is amongst the priorities of the government. He said we are working on war footing to reduce the gap between electricity demand and supply. He assured that the country will be steered out of the darkness of power outages. 

Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal told the meeting that arrangements are being made for timely completion of energy projects.

Secretary Water and Power Nargis Sethi said PC-1 of Gaddani coal power project will be ready by Tuesday.

Minister for Water and Power Khawaja Asif also attended the meeting.
