Another nine Palestinians were martyred in Israeli airstrikes on Saturday, raising the dealth toll to one hundred and eleven since Tuesday.

According to the Palestinian Health Ministry, four were martyred in Jebaliya area of Gaza Strip, two in Beit Lahiya, and three in Gaza City.

A total of seven hundred and forty people have been wounded in teh strikes in five days.

Meanwhile, the United Nations has expressed grave concern over killing of civilians by Israeli airstrikes in Gaza.

The concern was voiced by UN Human Rights Chief Navi Pillay in a statement in New York.

She said targeting of civilian homes is a violation of international humanitarian law.

She urged all sides to respect their obligations under international human rights law and international humanitarian law to protect civilians.
