Russia and Turkey have pledged to continue cooperation in the military and energy spheres.

According to Kremlin spokesman in Moscow, the pledge made in a telephonic conversation between Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Turkish counterpart Tayyip Erdogan.

Meanwhile, a U.S. Senate committee has backed legislation to impose sanctions on Turkey after its offensive in Syria and purchase of the Russian S-400 system.
