Prime Minister Imran Khan was informed that thirty-six projects under Public Sector Development Programme will be completed by the end of second quarter of current fiscal year.   

He was chairing a meeting in Islamabad today (Thursday) to discuss matters relating to Public Works Department and the Ministry of Housing and Works.

Secretary Housing Dr Imran Zaib briefed that forty six projects, in total, are being implemented under PSDP. He also apprised the Prime Minister about the progress made so far in the utilization of precious properties of the ministry of housing, situated in Murree and Karachi, in a positive and beneficial manner.

The secretary told that a system of e-tendering and e-procurement have been introduced in the PWD to improve its performance and ensure transparency and curb corruption, while awarding contracts.

He also gave a detailed briefing on improving performance of the PWD through information technology and effectively utilizing the available manpower.

The Prime Minister directed to organize salary matters of the employees of PWD under Product Proficiency system to ensure solution of their problems.
