Myanmar to receive over 2000 Rohingya Muslims sheltering in Bangladesh
November 12, 2018

Myanmar is ready to receive more than two thousand Rohingya Muslims sheltering in Bangladesh.

Myanmar’s Minister for Social Welfare and Resettlement, Win Myat Aye, told a news conference in Yangon that more than twenty individuals on a list of potential returnees has refused to go back to northern Rakhine state from where they fled.

Meanwhile, the United Nations has also warned that conditions are not yet safe for their return because Myanmar Buddhists have been protesting against the repatriation.
