Minister for Science and Technology Chaudhary Fawad Hussain says the government has allocated a sizeable amount for science and technology to develop the country on modern lines.
Addressing a function in Islamabad today (Wednesday), he said the Pakistan Council for Research in Water Resources will start a diploma program on water management soon. This program will be aimed at capacity building of employees of all federal and provincial planning, housing and works departments in management, use and conservation of water.
He said water related courses will also be part of the curriculum of 1500 new Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics based schools to be established across the country. He said clean drinking water facilities will be provided in these schools that will benefit students and general public.
