Analysts say US should accept the reality that it cannot win war in Afghanistan without cooperation of Pakistan.
Dr. Pervez Iqbal Cheema (Defence Analyst):
COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa has explicitly stated the Pakistani stance on war against terrorism in front of the US administration. The Army Chief has categorically mentioned Pakistan's sacrifices in war against terrorism since the incident of 9/11. Pakistan has also raised its reservations over Indian increasing role in Afghanistan. Pakistan will continue its war against terrorism till the complete elimination of terrorism from the country. Pakistan is also willing to cooperate with Afghanistan over the issue of Afghan refugees.
Brig (Retd) Harris Nawaz:
The National Security Committee of Pakistan has expressed explicitly that Pakistan will continue its war against terrorism without any foreign aid and funding. The US should accept the reality that it cannot win war in Afghanistan without cooperation of Pakistan. On the other hand, without Pakistan, the US could bear huge loss in Afghanistan. The US military figures show that NATO supplies pass though Pakistan at a rate of 580 truckloads per day.
