Overcoming of security challenges essential for economic stability of the country- Interior Minister emphasizes need for strong counter-narrative against terrorists
Addressing the officers at Air War College on Internal Peace and Security Challenges in Karachi on Monday, he said that progress has been made in overcoming security challenges and it is high time now to sustain the progress. Ahsan Iqbal said that National Action Plan (NAP) is being implemented with full vigour and commitment through coordinated efforts among provinces. He emphasized the need for a strong counter narrative to stop onslaught by extremists and terrorists. The Interior Minister pointed out that the government is taking all steps to tackle security challenges. He lauded the efforts of all Law Enforcement Agencies and civilians for fighting war against terrorism.

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has asked PTI to submit details of its party funding till 18th of this month. Decision to this effect was announced by a five-member bench of the Commission headed by chief election Commissioner in Islamabad today.

Minister for Kashmir Affairs Chaudhary Barjees Tahir has said Indian brutal activities in Occupied Kashmir could not withdraw the Kashmiris from their right to self-determination. In a statement on Monday, he said, despite a menace of difficulties, Kashmiris will continue struggle till their freedom. He said, on the arrival of Indian Interior Minister in held territory, successful strike is a clear message that Kashmiris will not accept Indian occupation at any cost. The Minister said United Nations should ensure the provision of right to self-determination to Kashmiris.
