Muslim Ummah is passing through a difficult time and they can overcome these difficulties only through unity: Imam-e-Kaaba
Imam-e-Kaaba Abdur Rehman al-Sudais,In his Khutba-e-Hajj from Masjid Nimra, called upon the Muslim Ummah to demonstrate unity to face the present day challenges. He said Muslim Ummah is passing through a difficult time and they can overcome these difficulties only through unity. He said Muslim rulers will have to address the collective problems realising their responsibilities. The Imam said terrorism is the biggest problem. He said Islam has no link with terrorism. He said terrorists have no religion. He said teachings of Islam based on justice and adl. Imam-e-Kaaba said that Islam ensures right of every human and said that every human has equal right. He said that the Prophet Muhammad (SAWW) was issued the basic manifesto of Islam and human rights in his last sermon and said that there is no difference between any Arabic and Ajami, black and white, rich and poor.Shiekh Sudais said the Ummah should act upon according to this manifesto and should ensure the safety, life, honor of all people.
68th death anniversary of father of the Nation Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah being observed with solemnity
The 68th death anniversary of the Father of Nation Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah was observed on Sunday with due solemnity and reverence. Different organizations andeducational institutions had organized special seminars and ceremonies to pay great homage to theQuaid for rendering valuable services for the Muslims of the sub-continent. Quaid-e-Azam passed away on this day in 1948 shortly after achieving independence for the nation.
In occupied Kashmir, the death toll in ongoing "Intefada" has risen to 96 as Indian troops martyred five more youth today.
In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh acts of state terrorism martyred five more youth today, raising the death toll from ongoing Intefada to 96. According to Kashmir Media Service, four youth were martyred during a siege and search operation in Handwara while another succumbed to his injuries in a hospital in Srinagar. In another incident, an Indian policeman was killed and three Indian army soldiers were injured during an encounter in Poonch district of Jammu region. Meanwhile, hundreds of people were injured in firing of pellets and bullets by Indian troops on participants of anti-India rallies in Kulgam, Pulwama, Badgam, Islamabad and other districts of the Kashmir Valley. The authorities continued to impose declared and undeclared curfew in the Valley on the 65th consecutive day, today.
Syria: 105 killed in Idlib, Aleppo air strikes
In Syria, one hundred and five people have been killed in air strikes in Idlib and Aleppo provinces. Sixty people were killed in an air strike on a market in Idlib while up to 45 died in strikes on Aleppo province. US Secretary of State John Kerry has called on all sides to respect US-Russia deal for ceasefire in Syria. He said the deal requires unimpeded and sustained humanitarian access to all of the besieged and hard-to-reach areas, including Aleppo.
