Radio Pakistan's Islamabad Station launched new one-hour program 'Zarkhez Pakistan' dedicated for agriculture sector on Wednesday.    

Speaking in the program, Director General Radio Pakistan Shiraz Latif said dedicating one hour for agricultural program is a positive initiative and it will have strong impact on the farmers and agriculture related professionals.     

The program will be broadcast seven days a week from 2:05 to 3 pm on 'National Hook-up' of Radio Pakistan.

DG National Agricultural Research Centre Dr Azeem, while speaking in the first programme, said agriculture is the back-bone of the country, but its media promotion has been neglected since long.

He appreciated Radio Pakistan's endeavor of starting one-hour programme on the agriculture.

Vice Chancellor Arid Agriculture University Dr. Rai Riaz congratulated the team of Radio Pakistan and said the programme will not only help expand the information about agriculture among community but also move the researches to a more pragmatic side.
