Prime Minister to leave for China on Friday to attend Belt and Road forum
He is visiting on the invitation extended to him by Chinese president Xi Jinping to attend the two-day Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation beginning in Beijing on Sunday.
On the first day of the forum, the Prime Minister will attend the inaugural session of the One Belt One Road Summit, the plenary meeting of high-level dialogue and the state banquet. He will also attend the leaders' roundtable sessions on the second day of the forum. Chief Ministers of all four provinces will accompany the Prime Minister.

Foreign Secretary Tehmina Janjua says peaceful neighborhood is the cornerstone of Pakistan's foreign policy. Addressing a seminar in Islamabad on Thursday, she said Pakistan gives special importance to its relations with Afghanistan. She said we have historic relations with the country deep rooted in common faith and culture. She said recent visits of political and military leadership to Afghanistan are the clear manifestation of Pakistan's policy towards the neighboring country.
CDWP approves seven projects worth Rs.143.5b
Central Development Working Party has approved seven projects of 143.5 billion rupees, including five projects referred to Executive Committee of the National Economic Council for approval. The approval was given at a meeting chaired by Minister for Planning, Development and Reform Ahsan Iqbal in Islamabad. The projects include National Centre of Artificial Intelligence and HEC project titled Establishment of New Generation Geodetic Datum of Pakistan.
Continuous Ceasefire Violations by Indian Forces- Pakistan strongly condemns Indian aggression along LoC
The Foreign Office summoned Indian Deputy High Commissioner Mr. J.P. Singh today and condemned the unprovoked ceasefire violation by the Indian occupation forces in the night of 10th and 11th of this month, at LoC in Tandar, Subzkot, Khuiratta, Baroh, Bagsar, Khanjar sectors. The unprovoked firing by Indian forces resulted in shahadat of 1 civilian Muhammad Rizwan r/o village Subzkot, Subzkot sector and injuries to 2 others including a lady, Willayat Bibi r/o village Subzkot, Subzkot sector and Abdul Aziz r/o village Tain, Khuiratta sector.
US CIA forms special unit on north korea threat
The US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) has formed a special unit to assess North Korea's nuclear weapons threat. In a statement, CIA Director Mike Pompeo said the Korea Mission Center will allow us to more purposefully integrate and direct CIA efforts against the threats to the United States and its allies.
